Over the past two decades, this prestigious event has become a beacon for independent artists, offering them a platform to showcase their talent and gain the recognition they deserve.

"Makeup Artist, Event Producer, and Music Industry Advocate"

Michelle Ortiz, a native Angelino, has over two decades of experience as a renowned makeup artist and event producer. Her journey began in the entertainment industry, working with rock bands, fashion models, and high-profile photo shoots. Her expertise extended into the corporate world with prestigious brands like Estée Lauder and Chanel, where she was integral to new product launches, fashion shows, and elite events. Among her notable experiences, Michelle worked on Mrs. Estée Lauder’s personal events at the Beverly Hills Hotel and high-society galas, including fashion week and museum openings.

Transitioning from makeup artistry to event production, Michelle combined her love for live music with her skills in executing large-scale events. She has contributed to the success of major events like Sue Wong’s Oscar Gala, iHollywood Film Festival (where she was a founding member), and the Eddie Van Halen guitar NFT launch. Her work at iconic venues like the Whisky a Go Go, Viper Room, and Winston House has allowed her to support emerging musicians such as Noah Weiland, Tye Trujillo, and Derek Day, booking them for live performances and conducting interviews on the red carpet.

Michelle is not only involved in event production and artist management but also writes extensively on musicians and women in business. Her articles for Chinese Magazine, covering events like the Sue Wong Oscar Gala, earned her the prestigious 2018 Cultural Ambassador Award for representing the American entertainment industry to audiences in China. As a regular contributor to a 40-year-old publication, Michelle continues to be a powerful voice in both the beauty and music industries, advocating for new artists and sharing her deep industry knowledge.

A four-time recipient of the SBMA Award and the 2023 Album of the Year winner, Bill’s contributions to the music industry are noteworthy. His involvement with the critically acclaimed Ghosts of Winter and multiple Grammy nomination considerations highlight his significant impact. Reflecting on his role, Bill expressed his honor and gratitude for being chosen by Ken Andrews to host this prestigious event, showcasing his enthusiasm for celebrating the unsung heroes of the Southern California music scene.

Known for her vibrant presence as a video vixen in legendary music videos for bands like Mötley Crüe, Dokken, Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Pamela's industry connections and creative vision contribute to the unique atmosphere of the awards.
