Do you and your band possess the talent to rise among the elite? We invite you to submit your music for consideration at the prestigious 2023 South Bay Music Awards (SBMA). This grand event celebrates exceptional musical artists and acts across various genres and categories.

To complete your submission, kindly include sound samples, photos, biographies, and any other relevant information about your music. Ensure that your submission reaches the SBMA before the submission cut-off date of September 15, 2023. The nominees will be announced on or before September 10, 2023.
A nominal submission fee of $40 is required, covering material processing and offering a critique by an experienced music industry A&R professional. As a bonus, you will receive a hyper-linked banner ad leading to your band/artist website or Facebook page on the SBMA website for a duration of one year.
To make the submission fee payment, please utilize PayPal. Click the PayPal link below and proceed to their “SEND” page, following the submission instructions. Use our PayPal e-mail address, ken@southbaymusicawardsllc.com, for completing the payment. Kindly remember to record your transaction number, which must be included with your press kit submission.
After submitting the PayPal payment, you have two options for sending your music and promotional materials:

Please ensure that your contact information, including email address and phone number, is provided. All applicants will receive communication regarding music critiques, banner ad placement, nominations, and potential live performance opportunities.
SBMA Artist and Band Submission Policies:
- All music submitted must be original works created by the artist. By submitting their works, artists affirm that they are the creators of the submitted works and/or hold the rights to enter them for consideration. Cover versions are allowed only in the Tribute Band/Artist category.
- Feel free to enter as many songs and/or videos as you desire. Submission fees apply per entry.
- All entries may be submitted online or by mail using USPS, FedEx, UPS, or other carriers. Artists are responsible for ensuring the functionality of links and/or web portals where their material is hosted in an EPK (Electronic Press Kit). Submission fees are non-refundable.
- The SBMA reserves the right to open and close the submission deadline(s) at its discretion.
- Songs will be evaluated by a panel of seasoned A&R representatives, music producers, and industry professionals. Judging criteria include melody, composition, lyrics (when applicable), performance quality, and production.
- Artists and bands selected to perform live at the SBMA ceremony will receive notification no later than two months prior to the awards ceremony, providing ample time to promote their appearance.
- The SBMA reserves the right to re-categorize entries and/or combine categories at its discretion. Nominations will be announced one month prior to the awards ceremony. Winners will be revealed during the award show ceremony on September 30, 2023, and subsequently announced on the official SBMA website. Both nominees and winners will also be featured in various music press outlets.
- Any artist worldwide is eligible for nominations, performance slots, and the opportunity to win an award in a category at the main event.

5 Nominees from each category will be announced one month prior to the awards ceremony. Each nominee will receive a nomination plaque at the awards show. The winner of each category will be announced at the show and receive their special award.
